Adams State falls to Regis 11-3 in NCAA Division II baseball matchup

The Adams State Grizzlies, featuring former Valley Center High School standout Jacob Janata, were defeated 11-3 by the Regis Rangers in their NCAA Division II baseball contest at noon on Sunday, Feb. 22.

The matchup was held at Regis Baseball Field and marked the third meeting between the teams this season. In their previous contest on Saturday, Feb. 21, the Grizzlies were defeated 17-9.

Janata gave up four earned runs in five innings, issuing one walk and striking out three batters.

The Grizzlies are set to play their next game Friday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m. at ASU Baseball Field against the New Mexico Highlands Cowboys.
