U.S. Congressman Darrell Issa, who represents California’s 48th district, recently shared a series of statements on social media addressing issues of religious freedom, veterans’ affairs, and voter identification.
On January 7, 2026, Issa posted about religious rights: “Good news for religious freedom.” On the same day, he expressed appreciation to government officials for their support of military veterans, stating: “Thank you @SecVetAffairs and @POTUS for putting Veterans first.” Two days later, on January 9, Issa commented on election policy by posting: “Voter ID is just plain common sense.”
Darrell Issa has represented California’s 48th District in the U.S. Congress since 2021 after succeeding Duncan D. Hunter.
