Darrell Issa, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 48th district, recently posted several messages on his social media account addressing topics ranging from border security to government oversight and agriculture.

On January 12, 2026, Issa stated, “Border security is national security.”

The following day, on January 13, 2026, he commented on government spending by posting, “When you clamp down on govt waste, fraud, and abuse – the people benefiting from it naturally get very upset.”

Later that same day, Issa shared a brief message about food sourcing: “Whole Foods. Healthy Foods. California grown.”

Darrell Issa has served in the U.S. Congress since 2021 after replacing Duncan D. Hunter as representative for California’s 48th district. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1953 and currently resides in San Diego. Issa graduated from Siena Heights University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976.
