Darrell Issa, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 48th district since 2021, posted several comments on his social media account this week, touching on recycling enforcement and military support.

On January 17, 2026, Issa stated: “The recycling isn’t actually recycled. But, homes and businesses can STILL be fined for not recycling.” On the same day, he added a separate post regarding the armed forces: “Our military deserve it.”

Two days later, on January 19, Issa commented on another issue with a brief statement: “Totally unacceptable”.

Darrell Issa succeeded Duncan D. Hunter in Congress and has represented California’s 48th District since replacing him in 2021. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1953 and currently resides in San Diego. Issa earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Siena Heights University in 1976.
