Later that day, at 1:36 PM, Issa emphasized national security by acknowledging a notable development at the country’s border, stating, “100 days of a secure border. Thank you @realDonaldTrump.” The gratitude extended towards former President Donald Trump highlights Issa’s perspective on border management policies.

At 11:50 PM, Issa took a more critical stance against media narratives by advising followers not to be influenced by certain reports. He posted, “Don’t fall for the NYT fear mongering propaganda https://t.co/CyyXEsjVMa.” This tweet reflects skepticism towards The New York Times’ reporting and possibly other media outlets.

Darrell Issa was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1953 and now resides in San Diego. He has represented California’s 48th District since 2021, following Duncan D. Hunter’s term. Issa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Siena Heights University in 1976.
