Darrell Issa, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 48th district since 2021, shared his perspectives on recent political issues through a series of social media posts. Issa, who is 69 years old and resides in San Diego, took to Twitter to express his views on various events, notably ranging from discussions of election integrity to state-level administration challenges.

On April 10, 2025, Issa commented on a political development involving former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. He remarked, “Democrats rolling out Hillary Clinton to talk about election integrity is one of my favorite parts of the week.” This comment appears to be a critique of the Democratic Party’s decision to involve Clinton in the conversations surrounding election processes.

Two days later, on April 12, 2025, Issa turned his attention to state governance in California, tweeting about economic management. He wrote, “California led the way in unemployment theft. Gov Newsom let it happen. And, Biden rewarded it.” This tweet highlights Issa’s criticism of California Governor Gavin Newsom and President Joe Biden regarding issues related to unemployment benefits fraud.

Later that same day, Issa addressed the topic of voting rights in the United States. He tweeted, “Democrats say there is no need to verify citizenship to vote. The better question is why they don’t want someone to check.” This statement reflects Issa’s stance on the importance of verifying citizenship in the voting process and questions the Democratic position on this issue.

Darrell Issa’s career has been marked by his role in Congress since succeeding Duncan D. Hunter in 2021. Issa, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, graduated from Siena Heights University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
