On Wednesday, March 11, at 3 p.m., former Ramona High School standout Jaden Talle took the mound as his current college team, the Newman Jets, suffered a 21-4 defeat to the Pittsburg State Gorillas in NCAA Division II baseball action.
The contest was played at McCarthy Field. It marked the second game between the Jets and the Gorillas this season. When they last met on Tuesday, Feb. 24, the Jets dropped the game 20-2.
Talle yielded three earned runs in 1.1 innings, finishing with three walks and two strikeouts.
The Jets are slated to play next on Tuesday, March 17, at 3 p.m., when they visit Warren Turner Field to face the Missouri State Lions.
