From October through December of 2025, 1,742 homes were sold in the county, with sale prices around averaging $861,750. This is a 7.3% decrease from the $930,000 median sale price during the same period in 2024, when there were 1,106 homes sold.
Based on the latest available data from 2024, the median property tax on homes in San Diego County was $5,862, which equates to 0.7% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2025.
U.S. home prices continued to rise in 2025, with the national median reaching about $447,000 in June. That’s up 1.13% from a year earlier, according to Redfin.
