On Sunday, March 23, former San Marcos High School standout Chase Hoover’s current college team, the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos, lost 9-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the UC Irvine Anteaters.

The game took place at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Anteaters this season.

The Gauchos’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 at 3 p.m. at Louis Guisto Field against Saint Mary’s Gaels.
