San Marcos ranked 589th in California for resident earnings in 2019

San Marcos ranked 589th among cities in California by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of San Marcos residents was $31,594 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 29,771 households with a population of 95,355.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was Norris Canyon with $188,889 per year after adjusting for inflation – $157,295 more than San Marcos. It had 285 households with a population of 897.

The city with the lowest median resident income in the state was New Pine Creek with $2,499 per year after adjusting for inflation – $29,095 less than San Marcos. It had 28 households with a population of 88.
