Washington, DC - Congressman Darrell Issa today released the following statement:
"Here’s what needs to happen: Adam Schiff needs to be called before the Ethics Committee and answer for what he did in front of the nation.
"We know that Schiff lied to the American people. We know he misrepresented classified documents. He claimed he had evidence he did not. He knew what he said wasn’t true. But to this day, he has never apologized. A monetary fine alone won’t undo the damage that’s been done.
"Democrats want this scandal to go away. We can’t let that happen.
"Schiff won’t be held accountable until he has to respond to the evidence against him. I will keep fighting until that happens.
"Countless times, Adam Schiff has said: No one is above the law. He is about to find out that is true."
